If there's some kind of animated gameplay i'll really be an happy man!!!! A real dream would come true....
Also, the revised pitching model would be great.

Animations would make me stop playing OOTP. I have an Xbox for that.

If there are any here who remember, that is similar to Jerry Doggett, long ago companion to Vin Scully in the Dodgers broadcast booth. Doggett was a nice guy, but he'd frequently lose his way trying to describe what was happening on the field. Since TV broadcasts were not as common in those days, you had to be primarily a radio fan. When Doggett took over in the middle innings, at times you wouldn't have any idea where the ball was.

Example: "And there's a ball hit...and...and he throws him out!" (pause, you didn't know anything other than an out had been made on a throw)..."Guerrero threw him out!" (pause, you knew now that Guerrero at third had made the play, but still didn't know which baserunner he threw out, or what kind of batted ball had initiated the play)..."And Leonard takes second on the throw!" (now you're thoroughly confused).

Of course, Vin Scully made it worth it. And Doggett passed away in 1997, may he rest in peace, because he remains a part of my beloved baseball past.

Wouldn't make me stop playing, but I'd chuckle each time I thought of it and how the game bowed to the arcadists here.

Ohh, this would be like Myron Cope in his later years. He liked to ask for replays so he could watch it again. At least with him there was always two others in the booth to let you know what happen.

You mean like the arcadists who play Football Manager and Eastside Hockey Manager? Hasn't Markus always said any graphics would be a 2D-engine?

Myron Cope was brilliant at times, really odd at others. RIP Myron Cope too.

Say what you will about "arcadists," if players appeared and action played out as in playball's graphic, that would be one unbelievable game.

So this game was called by one of the more recent members of the "Red Sox Nation" then.

Are you going to feel this way about Dusty Baker, Barry Bonds, and Joe Morgan?

"Arcadists"... very interesting word, I suggest you submit the definition to urbandictionary.com. If "arcadists" includes those who like meaningful and reasonably realistic 2D representations of sporting events, then an arcadist I am.

Apparently it's John Mayer calling the game. But seriously, it could have been any one of the five billion so-called Red Sox "fans" that have been spawned in the last couple of years.

The guy must have thought he was being funny. He comes off as a complete asshole, though. Nobody with any sense says that kind of stuff, regardless of how much they know about what they are doing.
