Looking at Head 2 Head Play from another angle

Having been a part of this community from almost the beginning I know what a sore subject this is.

Having been in an on-line league world series I know first hand how frustrating watching in a chat room when my AI manager makes moves I would never make.

One thing that I was thinking about today was how much internet technology has improved since this idea was first floated and sank. It seems to me that something like h2h doesn't need to be built into the game, but could easily be accomplished with something like go to meeting or log me in or really any number of desktop sharing via web apps that are available.

both managers could play their game on the commissioners PC and the other members of the league could "watch"

do any leagues do this? it seems so obvious and simple, but I don't recall reading anyone else talking about it.

eMLB and HH have used Yuuguu to do this. Fidel Montoya is partial to Yugma.

Basically, the software tools are screen sharing broadcasters that send out a video stream from the commish's PC's to a viewer's web browser, so they can see what is going on.

This is covered in the Commissioner's Corner.

nice - hadn't hear of Yuuguu before. It looks like gotomeeting but free for all US, so that is a big plus.
