Question About Personnel in OOTP 9

"Improved personnel contracts using a system similar to player contracts"

Does this mean that I now get to promote coaches and scouts up or down a level in Minors (Double A to Triple A, etc.), rather than, in the past games, only being able to promote coaches to the Majors?

Don't think so. Believe Markus said that was too hard to code somewhere else here on the main area.

Believe this means that you now offer contracts to coaches like you do players.... so the first come first serve process would be gone.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour... is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious. (Vince Lombardi)

Agreed. Markus did say the promotion/demotion within the minors wouldn't be changed now or anytime soon. It's a PITA because it's so unrealistic, but I've learned to live with it.

The fix to allow offering contracts for personnel will be awesome and on-line leagues (hopefully) can eliminate forums to handle personnel hirings.

Okay....

Or were you not meaning that literally?

The quick fix is to release your coach and then resign them.

It's what I do in online leagues as well. Since you can release and resign without anyone getting first dibs, you can make it work.

The downfall is you'll have to offer a new, much larger contract. But that's a bit realistic.

I'm not sure how this will work with the new coaching contract system in OOTP9.
