Anyone have BBPro96/98 music?

There were some really cool tracks on those two game disks. Does anyone have them on and would they be willing to email them to me? I would post them on my RS account for people to d/l.

Those are some great songs to play baseball sims to!

I've got both CD's right here in front of me. However, I'm not a computer whiz. Could you suggest how I do it?? Do I copy the music files to a single directory on my desktop and then zip it??? Would that be best???

And, I don't want any trouble. Is it legal to post it for others to d/l?????

But, I've got both CD's right here. I played those games for years. And still like em.

I know "Cheap Seats" by Alabama and "Centerfield" by John Fogerty were both on there.

I also remember that song that went..."We're playing baaaaaaaaaaaseball...." Always got stuck in my head.

I'd actually like to get the music from the old Tony Larussa 3 series, but I'm not sure it's possible. I don't remember the sound even being .wav files at the point.

I love the music it played when you won the title in Baseball 94 - I can't remember if it still had it in 98 (I probably played with sound off so I could listen to music instead).

320MB? That is huge.

Aren't the songs in one directory, and the sound files in another? It might be worth it to cut out all the ambient sounds like the crowd noise and all that. OTOH, I am not sure how much that would actually cut down the file size.

320 - wow.

This brings up a point - there should really be a 'You won' kind of moment in OOTP when you win it all.

Well, I sent em, or at least I think I did. If you really are in Richmond, VA it might've been quicker for me to burn the CD's and hop in the car and meet you half way since I'm in Northern VA myself, Loudoun County.

Well, if this becomes an issue, we could do that in a sense. I often go up to see family in Montgomery County, MD. So that might work.

Well, I've been really busy this morning. When I finally got around to checking my email messages, I had a message from your email service saying it was undeliverable due to the size. What it DIDN'T say was what that max size was so I would know how small to break it down.

And for those of you who know more about computers and d/l and stuff, can anyone explain this to me. When I purchased BM, it was a 103 MB download and it took less than three minutes. When I attached that 320 meg file to my email, I figured 320 is rougly 3 times 103, it'll take 3 times as long, 6, 7 minutes. WRONG ! It took well over 30 minutes. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?????

Well, when you're downloading a file..you're doing just that, downloading it. When you attach a file to an email and send it, you have to UPLOAD the file. Upload speeds are normally ALOT slower than download speeds. Does that explain it?

Right.
ISPs restrict your upload speed to significantly lower levels than download.

That said, it's hard to figure how a 102 mb download could contain music files that are 320 mb compressed.
And the allowable file attachment is probably WAY less than 320mb.

OK, thanks. Like I said, I'm not computer whiz at all. That's true I think for a lot of us older folks. I understand DOWNLOAD and UPLOAD, and I understand the words "Upload speeds are normally ALOT slower than download speeds." So that explains it. But now I don't understand WHY??? I mean data goes ALOT faster one way than another???? That doesn't make intuitive sense to me, but, like I said, I'm no computer whiz.

Hehe, sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. Those are apples and oranges. I merely posted a screen shot of the DOWNLOAD (which was the installation for Baseball Mogul, 103 meg) to show how fast it occurred (a little over 2 min) compared to the UPLOAD (which was the BBPro Music Files at 320 meg). I was comparing speeds, not files.

glad u mentioned that. i have the 96 version and was always impressed with the soundtrack. I will install the game myself for the music. I guess you can add the files to the ootp folder and have them automatically start playing when OOTP screen appears. Not sure will try.

Yes, there's a demo available a few places online. Search it, and I know for sure Underdogs.info has it.

OFG - I really am not sure why upload is so much slower that d/l. Whether it has something to do with finding space for the data you are uploading or not,

It's definitely easier to take stuff OUT of a room than pack it into a room that is fairly full.

Man, it must be Friday after saying that.
