Would it be possible to switch my game over to another computer without having to pay for two games?

Basically, I know I'll be getting a new computer for graduation, but probably in late mid-late july. Seeing as the game comes out the 18th, I don't know if I can wait an extra month to play!

Would it be possible to switch my game over from my current computer to another one after I download OOTP9? Or would that not be allowed and illegal or whatever?

I pre-ordered the game for mac.

You would be able to unlicense the game - and as well, you will get two licenses per game purchase.

In past you could install the game on 2 different computers without having to get a new license, provided they were either both PC or both Macs. I bet (but don't know if) it'll be the same this time around.

Yes, the game still comes with two licenses.

Oh, wow, I had no idea. That solves everything. Now I can play the second I get it and when I get my new computer!

Provided your new computer is a Mac as well. Don't forget that.

People with a Mac converting to Windows a possibility?
Odds against: almost infinity to one.

just don't forget to unlicense first. You never know when you might want to move it again.

Hey, it could happen. Maybe. Possibly. Perhaps.

Ok, I get it.

I converted from Mac to Windows, actually.

Granted, this was back in the OS9 days, and my Mac died, and now I use Ubuntu primarily, but hey...law of averages, right?

I wouldn't convert to Windows full time. But, there are plenty of things I can't do on my mac that I'd love to have Windows for sometimes. Macs aren't as versatile. Ideally, I'd have two machines, really. But, yeah, I'd like to semi-convert back to Windows. If I converted to Windows full time, I'd miss my mac.

I converted from Apple to windows as well.

In 1984 I switched from my Apple II to a IBM Clone / 286. Never went back and only last year bought my next Apple product when I bought an IPhone.

Don't believe the hype - Apple makes some great products, especially in the last 8 years - but in the the previous 20 they made some good hardware that was closed off to most of the world and had very limited options when it came to software.

The Apple cult can watch all the commercials they want and pretend the past never happened, but the reason PC's are still the most widely used computer is because for most of history Apple didn't allow or encourage other developers to create software. So you would walk into a software store (yes, they use to exist) and there would be 20 Apple titles, and 500 PC titles. A software like OOTP could have never been available for Apple 10 years ago. Apple's controlling ways made the PC the dominant computer in use, especially in the business world.

Hehe.
Some good replies.
I actually used an Apple product for about a year, the Apple Lisa in the early 80's. We were testing it for use in our design department. Windows I hadn't even been released. It was very interesting and enjoyable and eventually we did buy 10 for the designers and I went back to my normal work using MS-DOS.

The Lisa was a failure and some describe it as a predecessor to the Mac OS but it wasn't really. Steve Jobs left the Lisa project and joined Macintosh project. The predecessor idea is probably related to the final Lisa version, the 2/10, which was relabeled and sold as the Mac XL.
