Lot's of Injuries.......Lots!
I am playing a league using historical rosters. I am in my fourth season and for the first three seasons everything seemsed to be cruising along just fine. A few untimely (is there ever a timely injury?) injuries, but nothing our of line with what would normally happen in a real season and I didn't seem to have any more or less injuries than any other team. The injury frequency is set to normal.
Then this season started...... I immediately had a 3 month injury to my starting catcher. Nothing too alarming. Then just after the all-star break all heck broke loose. I had a 13 month injury to my all-star shortstop, an 8 month injury to my top starting pitcher, my catcher got injured AGAIN for another 3 months. Two starting outfielders were injured one for 6 months and one for 3-4 months and a backup infielder was injured for 6 months. So I currently have 5 of my starters and one back up on the DL with injuries ranging from one month to 12 months. I looked at each of the other teams and not one team had more than two players with long-term injuries. 90% of the teams had either one or none. Am I just totally mismanaging my team? Is there some setting that needs adjusting? Or is the universe simply conspiring against me and my quest to win the World Series? ![]() Any ideas? |

If you were using my computer, I'd say it was screwing you over. (my computer indeed hates me
). Anyhow, I believe 8-10 years ago the Angels had 11 players on the DL at one time. Although, I think only 3 or 4 were key players (edmonds I remember being one). Most were middle relievers, backups, and a couple of guys were guys injured in spring training who would have been sent down anyway.
