Morale

The exploration process has begun. {It really would be nice if we could get a release one year when the Yankees are not in the middle of a homsetand. }

Morale; Does this work differently then in version 7/8? According to the manual there is a detailed view of morale. I can't seem to find it. All I see is that a guy is unhappy or angry and have no clue why.

Could it be because I haven't actaully started a season yet?

Second question: Possibly a nit-pick: Coaches were not done for the included roster set?

This is definitely a nit-pick: I'm not a big fan of the white menus, such as the teams menu.

I don't have the screen in front me, but yes, morale works the same way. Near, or on, the word Morale, you should be able to click and it will expose all the areas affecting the player's mood. When you're not viewing morale, I believe it's the player's condition.

Can't help you on the rosters issue, sorry, but what do you mean by white menu?

Are you talking about the button label text that pops up when you mouseover a toolbar button? Yeah, in one (two?) of the skins you can't read it and that bugs me. You learn them after awhile, but it took awhile for me and it can't be good for newbies. If a tester could add that to the bugtracker that would be great.

Can you post a screenshot of that area? I get what you're saying, but I can't place just where it's happening.

Shoot! I just checked and its been fixed in OOTP9. It was definitely a problem in OOTP8. I've been trying to keep up on the boards so much that I hadn't fooled around enough with OOTP9 to notice. Sorry for mentioning it.

Well, that's good information. Now we just need to find out what bleach means by the white menus. I 'think' he means the BNN-oriented pages, like his example of team page indicates - pretty full of white space - but I'll wait and see what he says. Thanks, kq.

The White background.

That may not help either. If you mouse over teams, the meu pops up listing the teams in a league. These are the type of menus I'm talking about. Like I said its a nit-pick.

I wounder if I turn off the transparency, this might be better. As I recall, this can be done. Might be wrong.

These shots are from the OOTP8 manual, but it shouldn't look much different, if at all. You should see the Show Morale text. Click on that and it should change to the screen pictured next, detailing the morale factors. Let me know if you're not seeing this at all or seeing something different altogether in your game.
