Hi Binkyboy.
Myself, I'm on OOTP9. My advice, if you're new to this, is to use Search to find answers specific to your OOTP8. You can pretty much get 95% of your answers that way, as once upon a time everyone here ran into issues you are about to. Believe me, virtually everything got discussed in a few threads. The forums for old versions aren't busy anymore after a new version comes out. You can wait a while before getting an answer. If you REALLY get stuck, PM a mod, or ask the question in the OOTP10 forum if it seems that it is something common to both versions.

I downloaded it a few days ago and played a few seasons.
I even downloaded a template for it. I'm playing around with it now. Did you just want to talk about it? Are you having problems with it? I'll try to help if I can. Ciao, John

Hello
Hello, how are you doing? Yes I am having some problems. How do you end one day of play and take off the next time from the scheduled next game? I have problems playing my next game. I have to keep searching around for the game. Hope I made sense there. I am 61 years old and I guess I am getting senile or something. (Grin) How do you play your games by the season? Do you play every game from inning 1 to 9 with each player batting, or just go right to the end of the game and then make changes etc? Thanks for answering my post.

I just sim the seasons. I haven't gotten into the playing aspect yet but from what I know after you've played a game you need to go back into your manager homepage and choose auto-play for the next game. Or if you wish, you can choose auto-play to a specific point in the season, ie., to the All-star game, to the end of season, to the beginning of play-offs, etc.
Those options are also in the bottom right-hand corner of the league page. Hope this helps. Ciao, John
