Replay - bad league totals?

Hello

I started up a replay of 1996, managing one of my favorite dodger teams. I started up the league pretty quickly, didn't fiddle with too many settings and whatnot. However, after about a two weeks of play, I noticed the league totals were significantly off. My dodgers only had 3 hrs as a team, for example. The NL OPS was below .700. I was wondering what may cause this, and what are ways to ensure that historical leagues have appropriate league totals (something that ruins leagues for me if they are off).

Hmm...While I do know issues of sample size, I figure for a month for an entire league adds up to quite a few at bats, which makes standard deviation from the true average quite small.

I don't think after a month an entire league could be slumping. I could be wrong though.

Could cold aprils have anything to do with it?

The Universe is trying to tell you to stop running sims in the 1990s and try the Brooklyn Dodgers starting in 1933. See if you can get the Dodgers to win a World Series before the end of the decade. Use historical rules with no free agency. The Universe has spoken.

hello mr. hough,
I'm using the 90's because my favorite players growing up were Mondesi, Piazza and Candiotti (as in I wasn't alive for most of the 80's).

However, now that i think about it, it would be a good way to learn more about dodger history starting in the 30's. So, maybe I will consider that in the future.

But for now, I wanted to do a league where I manage every game since I have always played the game (since ootp4) as a general manager, never managing games. And a great way to start was a team i remember well, even though I was 8.
