I posted this in the general discussion thread not knowing this was even here. Reposting in appropriate place

I have a player with 3 years 59 days of ML servise. He recieved an arbitration contract at the begining of last off-season before I aquired him via trade. He immediately received an 8 month (Torn Bicep) injury. He was placed on the 60 day DL and remained there all season. I left him on the DL through the first few sims of the off-season not thinking it would matter. We simmed past the arbitration dates and he was not assigned a salary. Currently he is on my active roster and signed to a minor league contract.
I am wondering if there is an arbitration "rain day", if he will recieve a hearing when the automatic contracts renew or if this will just blow up in my face at some point during the season.
This is an online league team with a cap. He is my best position player. You understand the implications.

Update: this only happens when a player spends the entire year on the DL. I ran through the entire 2022 season, with three test cases of players who had arbitration contracts in 2022 and would be eligible again for 2023:

1) Player on 15 day DL for entire year.
2) Player on 60 day DL (and, therefore, not on 40 man roster) for entire year.
3) Player on 60 day DL for remainder of season after appearing in the first game of the year.

Players 1 and 2 "skipped" arbitration and were assigned MLCs by the game. Player 3 was given a new arbitration contract.
