Importing from csv

So, I was very excited when I found out that you could export so much of the data from OOTP2006 to csv. I had this idea that I'd be able to export it, edit what I wanted, and then import it to make leagues of my liking. When I started trying to figure out how to do this, however, I was disappointed to find that importing is really limited. Or, at least, I can't seem to find any way to do it.

It stands to reason, at least to me, that if you can export the stuff, there should be a way to import it. Stuff like the nations and cities data, editable player data, league data, etc.

Am I missing something, or is this stuff export-only?

Oops. Didn't mean to post this in the Mods section (although I guess it works well enough here).

You're right, it's a one way street. The data can be used for reports or whatever, but not for editing and writing back. There are some guys currently doing research on the database format of the .dat files. If they have success, then there will be a way to read from AND write into the files.

The data is in Access...now what?

This applies to all export formats.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if that applied to csv files as well.

Hmmm... there's another thing OOTP6 had that OOTP2006 doesn't yet.

You can only import roster text files using the export roster/import roster functions.
