Question Help needed about player photos

I need a little help with player photos. I have tried unzipping the player photo pack to the ootp/baseball 2006/data/photos file as well as the ootp/baseball 2006/data/saved_games/CubbyRolenBeta06.lg/news/html/images file. Am I doing something wrong? I am new to this years game so please be specific as to what I need to do. The phots of the General Manager, Manager etc. work just fine.

Are the photo's jpg? Also, read the game guide and customization guide. A lot of frustration can be avoided by just reading the instructions!

Yes, the photos are in JPEG format. As far as me reading the game guide and customization guide you mentioned, I don't mean to sound stupid or anything but where are they? I pre-ordered my game and all I received was the link for the download. I have no back-up cd-rom or anything else. If there is a place I can go here please let me know.

Also, just to let you know, I am not the only one having problems getting the player photos to work. I have been reading the posts of other people and I have tried using their advice.

The manual 's pdf file should be in your game's ootp baseball 2006 folder.

Here's the thread with all the info:

The OOTPB Manual and Game Guide Thread

Hey, I've had problems too. The game is not perfect as other threads point out. I started games over at least a dozen times because of frustration. Once I worked through some issues I started having fun.

Also, my intention was not to come across condescending. I apologize if that was the case.

Good luck.

I want to say Thank You for the information. I must admit that I have been overlooking the games' manual pdf file. I didm't mean to come across condescending either. If I did I am sorry.

I am also sorry to hear about all of the frustrations with the game. I waited until now to start having fun with it in hopes that most of the bugs would have been worked out. I had been playing that MLB 06 The Show game on my PS2.

Good Luck to you too!!! Hope the bugs are all out of you game.

Smile I no longer need help

I no longer need help with the player photos. They now work!!!

You have to extract them to your league file\news\html\images.

Here is an example: C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006\data\saved_games\CubbyRolenBeta06.lg\news\ html\images.

You also have to extract them to the following file:
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006\data\skins\ootp blue\images*
*= You will need to remove the default_player_photo.jpg file from each skin you will be using.
You also need to rename the following file: skin.bin to skin.old**
**= These files are located in the games skin folder

Thanks for the help I received. I hope this information above helps someone who may be having problems with their player photos.
