Help with my fictional league/template?

OK, so I've been working on this fictional league now for a week or so (just got the game not that long ago. 32 teams, 2 leagues, 4 divisions each. Did out all the artwork for the major league teams. Finally finished the art and stuff, then added college and high school feeder leagues (about 80 colleges or so and 52 HS all-star teams). I've been chomping at the bit to play the damn thing.

One problem. So I tried to start playing it. I have 3 or 4 inaugural drafts scheduled! For the second one, there's no players and no teams in the draft. When I try to run the draft, the game crashes. Why is this, and can I fix it? I also saved the game as both a quickstart and a template. When I try to load the quickstart, it gets hung up (not that it'll work anyways with the problems I'm having). When I save the game as a template, I have similar problems. I set the date to 2000 and wanted to sim a few years so when I took over, there would be stats. I try auto-playing, and I get an error message saying "Zona Occidental has no pitcher" or something like that and I can't continue. I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL out of the game. What gives? I want to PLAY THE DAMN THING!
