I have realeased ver 2.0 of my DB and send it to modsquad and Padres Site... it may not be everything that I planned but I'd like to play the game sometime this year... here is part of the readme.

Gambo 2007 OOTP DB ver 2.00(Mixed)

This is the newest version of my database. And the newest features I have added. I would like to thank Arod & Garlon for their assistance with addition #1 and murmur13 for his assistance with addition #3.

1. I have included 50 Negro Leaguers who never played in the majors. A list of these players is included in the bottom of this readme. (These players are the same as those from Arod/Garlons DB and have been used with their permission).
2. Players who played in the Negro Leagues and the Major Leagues (57 total) now import when they turned 21 or if they signed their 1st contracts with major league teams before that age where given 1 year for their Negro League tenure.
3. I have also added in seasons for numerous players who played in both Japan and the Major Leagues. These players have been given stats based on the major league equivalencies for their actual Japanese seasons. Examples of these players are Ichiro Suzuki, Karl Rhodes, Orestes Destrade, etc. These Japanese seasons are given stat lines in both the Import and Yearly versions of the database. So their ML equivalencies will appear in the “Real Stats” tab.


Gambo 2007 OOTP DB ver 1.75(Pure)

This update includes numerous corrections from the earlier versions. Players who played in the negro leagues and the major leagues now import when they signed their 1st contracts with major league teams. (Jackie Robinson will now import in 1946 and not 1942 as with ver 1.5)

The changes from the Beta version of this database are the addition of correct profession debut dates for an addition 1000+ players; specifically from before 1965. (Players include Joe Dimaggio, Johnny Sain, etc.)

Using this database OOTP will import players whether they were in the majors or minor leagues and assign them properly to their correct organizations.

Future Updates

I would like to in the future release another version of the database which expands upon the features I already include such as. Japanese stars who never played Major League Ball such as Saduhara Oh. I would also like to include more minor leaguers such as managers who never reached the majors (Jim Leyland), bomb draft picks (Brien Taylor) or intriguing players (Michael Jordan, Garth Brooks).

I have absolutely no time line on this addon.

It's the difference between not messing up when I zipped the 1.75 files. I'm gonna resend the zipped file. It's should look better now...

I started a historical league in 1901 with your 1.75 database. Now I`m in year 1905. Do you forsee any problems when I switch to 2.00 at this point?

Outside of a few negro leaguers who will not import there should be no problems....

What are the advantages of using the Gambo DB over the basic lahman DB?

The Lahman DB imports players the year they began in the Major Leagues.
The Gambo DB imports players the year they signed a contract or began playing professionsl ball.
The advantage is that you see real players begin at an earlier age.

Would there be any problems if I've been using Lahman from 1901 to 1912, and then start using Gambo 2.0?
