WOB 2.0 Correction Thread...

Please post any corrections to WOB 2.0 that are needed so I can find them easily in one thread. Obviously every care has been taken to ensure accuracy, but due to the fact of having 55 leagues in the universe, I am sure problems will crop up....

In fact, I have already found one:

Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs needs to have its capacity increased to 41,118...

Metrodome for the Minnesota Twins---capacity should be 48,678...

Matter...1st off thanks for all the work you've put into the WOB2.0 file.

Usually I simulate the 1st year or so before taking over a team. However I get just past the mlb draft and around June 16th an error message pops up and I lose the game.

This happened last night. I got up this morning and tried again, this time I prepared myself and saved right before the MLB draft. I continue to sim and boom the same thing. Around June 16th the error message pops up. Any ideas?

Happened again...looks like the problem occurs on June 17th 2007. Anybody had any experience with this?

Wierd, I reloaded the save game and it let me sim through to the 18th.

To answer your question though, it was one of those bug errors, where it offers the "debug" option in the prompt. I can't remember exactly what the error said. If it happens again, I'll post. Sorry for the false alarm.

Ok, new one. I'm now stuck on July 10th...new error has occured.

It says:

"Division I
Has no pitcher available"

I hit Ok, then it says:

Game:: No starter substitute found

I hit Ok, then it says:
"Division II
Has no pitcher available"

I hit Ok, then it says:
Game:: No starter substitue found
Now, no matter how many times I hit the Ok button, it instantly pops back up, locking me in the same spot.

Wow...that is a strange one---never have seen that before...sounds related to a roster issue...may want to check the teams roster, go into commissioner mode and fix it...

The original one happened again. It says...

ootp2007.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry forthe inconvience.

Those are general crashes---something Markus may need to take a look at...I will go into the beta forum and post what issues are occurring. IMHO, the problem may be because of the size of the universe. More leagues=more possibilities for something bad to happen. Perhaps this may help in eliminating some of the issues since very few universes are this large for him to take a look at....

Is there any way to limit, or change the ethnicity problems that occur when you eliminate leagues. In the past, I have eliminated all but the MLB and the affiliate leagues. Then what happens is like 75% of all the teams end up being foreign. It's just too wierd to see Japanese players dominating the league leader boards. Any ideas??? Is there anyway I can convert your save game into a template?

Have you checked all you leagues' rosters? I found a few teams in the Venzeulean Summer League to be missing pitchers. I spot checked some other leagues but I don't see any missing players anywhere else. I'm running a 10 year sim (which from the looks of it should take about 10 years on my machine!) and will let you know if I get any such messages.

Hmm...not sure other than perhaps deleting the really good players from those leagues before deleting them...

To change the ethnicity of leagues, you should be able to go into the database folder and look under ethnicities.txt and change the values there...

I got to July 2nd of 2007 and the game crashed on me. Now it refuses to load the .lg file. I guess I could try to overwrite the .lg file as something might be corrupted from the crash. More later.

Yea, mine crashed again just after the MLB all-star game

I just ran into a problem that stated that the team Ehime from the Skikoku Island League has an illegal number of players on the roster (8) How do I fix this?

you can go to league setup and "fill all teams with fictional players"

I deleted several world leagues & indepedants, and got through a year, but I then had the ethnicity problem.

I wish the game was saved as a template. That would make it perfect. It's great now and I def appreciate the work put in though. Just a little difficult to get it going.
