modding FAQ?

I've been having a heck of a time getting mods to work with my game. I thought it was just because of i was using the demo, but a week with the full version has led me to the same problems. Even had to reinstall game this evening. Is there a centralized place i can look for step by step mod installation? Has anyone put up a guide to adding leagues and editing rosters? WHy does my game keep crashing when i try to access something like WOB2 Template, or RealWOrld Baseball.quick?

Using Windows Vista, 2 gb RAM, should be plenty of system for the game.

A new subdirectory beneath Documents&Settings needs to be created? My game is saved in Program Files. IS this what has been holding me up!?!?!?!
