Recommend a welcoming sticky here . . .

. . . like last year, from somebody in the OOTP oligarchy.

If you build it (the forum), they (the noobs) will come.

Thumbs up

Ah, at last! A place for 1998 Yankees, the wise and powerful.

Since there isn't much going on here at the moment, how come you've gone to changing your avatar so frequently? I think I've seen five (one twice) in the past ten days.

Just keeping things fresh, my man. Stay tuned - I got a bunch of them.

Back on topic: I repeat my recommendation that someone in authority post (or copy over from last year's board) the welcoming sticky that will draw newbies here with their questions rather than getting lost in the General Discussions hubbub.

And please remove your avatar of Ruth in a Sox jersey.

LOL! I've been seeing that mug for so long, I did not even notice the jersey. But, that's OK, ukslamjam, for it's quite historically accurate! And it suits the fantasies of some of the OOTP historical "what if?" players who wonder how the Red Sox of the 20th century would have fared had they not sold Ruth to the Yankees in 1920. Perhaps that is your intended scenario?

No but in the "what if?" scenario I would have come up with something as clever as that!! LOL

I've had to change my avatar to your creation as it made me laugh so much!!

I'm still annoyed with the Yankees for stealing away Abreu from my beloved Phillies!!! But I have to say I prefer the Yankees over the Redsucks anyday!!

Well, I hope you change it back or to something else soon. If I had known you were going to "adopt" it, I would have worked harder on it.

Enjoy this great game!
