Fictional Leagues and Pre-Set Expansion
I was wondering if it's possible in OOTP 2007 to create a fictional league with preset expansions, so that whenever you run a game using that world, that league will expand the way you directed.
My idea is to start with a 16 team league in 1900 and add 2 teams every 10 years (i.e., not the historical MLB expansion), generating some history before taking over a team in 2000. I'd want to run some trial sims of the league to see if the settings are right, though, and I'm hoping you don't have to manually perform expansion every time you sim the league. I'd get pretty tired of adding teams 17 and 18 in 1910 all the time just to see if things are going as I want. ![]() |

Sorry. Under the game as currently constructed you need to manually add expansion teams to fictional leagues.

Curtis is right: not officially. However, I was just reading rasnell's posts #22 and #27 in
OOTP Baseball 2007 Patch 2.0.2 BETA (Build 50) which seem to indicate that there is a way to do this by importing an historical league and flushing out the real players. See what you think.
