$$ question

I tried in general, but I"ll try here. I want to start a new league with an innaug draft, either using the salary cap, or using a normal salary structure.
here are my questions.
1. Is there any way to do an innaug draft using REAL contracts (i'm using cubby, which is up to date w/ contracts)? When I draft, it seems to assign a contract based on age and stats. I'm OK w/ the $$, but it's the qty of years that seems random. I'd prefer to use actual contracts. If I can't, how can I tell before I draft Jimmy Rollins if he's gonna have a 1 yr deal or a 4 yr deal? As you draft, every player appears to be a FA.
2. How does the AI handle salary cap when doing an innaug draft? I love trying the cap idea, but I find that it is too difficult for existing teams to deal with. The AI doesn't seem to react w/ cap needs in mind.

1. I think the game is set so that the computer randomly gives every player in the draft a new contract, to the best of my knowlage there is no way around it.

2. For the innaug draft the AI should work fine as contacts are set after the draft and the game should keep all the contracts under the cap unless that's just not possible with the size of the cap. setting a cap that is below what the teams already have may throw the teams in a panic and since the AI teams can get away with cutting players without penety they should get below it pretty quickly. human teams are always harder to get under as they acutully have to work to get back under the cap.

Not knowing what the contracts are previous to a draft is annoying. What I've done is copy the entire league, rename it something different. In that league I run an inaugural draft and that at least gives you an idea of what the salaries are going to be. You will not know the contract lengths.

This will be marked for consideration for future patches/editions of OOTP.
