Arbitration Question

How does the game handle players who sign contracts and after the contracts ends (and they SHOULD be a FA) but are still arbitration eligible?

I have a player who signed a four year deal when he entered the league, his contract is about to be up, but the game says he is arb eligible?

Thanks in advance.

IIRC, and I'm not 100% certain, they are simply granted arbitration again as they normally would have been had they never signed the previous contract.

I'm not 100% sure either, but I think Kelric is correct.

Kelric is correct; if he doesn't yet have six years of MLB service, he'll go into arbitration (assuming you're using the default settings for service time). That's how things should work, by the way- or at least, that's how things work in real life.
