A few questions
Hello All,
I just purchased OOTP2008. I have a few questions (these are probably answered somewhere??) 1) I would like to start a fictional league with fictional players. But I want to sim the league a day or week at a time. and check and post stats on my web site. I also want to be commisioner not manager of any one team. My question is, by being commissioner will AI still make trades on its own ?? 2) Can I set up fictional teams with Real Players ?? 3) If I setup fictional teams with real players will AI import more players for each year I play ?? Thank you for your help and I am looking forward to getting started.!! |

Yes, The best way to do this would be to import a year and then change the team names to where you want them to be. Yes, and you could have a draft or if you left the team IDs you could have them put on thier original teams.

Just to expand on the 3rd question... in order to continue importing real players, you'll need to be playing a historical league. Otherwise the game's database will run out of players after 2007 and will just generate fictional players from then on.

I know of the random debut database, but there's one that creates entire databases? Linkage?

Seems to work pretty well, although I'm still in the mist of testing it myself, it was pretty simple to follow his directions and make the DBs

Oh, that is the debut database creator. Okay, nevermind then.
