Player nicknames - obvious question?

This is probably a stupid question but i can't seem to figure it out:

Is there any way for me to give a nickname to a player? The game has automatically assigned some nicknames to some players but what if there is a specific player and a specific nickname i want to give them?

Thanks for any help.

Open player profile, go to the edit tab. You can change the player name here.

Thats the sort of thing I thought it should be, but there is no edit tab as far as I can see. Is there any way I could have turned it off? I'm playing the mac version, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

You need to be playing in Commissioner mode, I believe.
