single-game records?

How do I find them? I'd kind of like to know what the single-game record for strikeouts by a pitcher is, that sort of thing.

AFAIK, the best you can do is go to your league's History page, select accomplishments, and eyeball the list until you find the single game leader.

For example, you can see that Jeff Clark holds the record in my league for 20 K's in a game in 2009. You may have noticed that I sorted by clicking on the strikeouts column; annoyingly it sorts on innings pitched, not strikeouts, but the leader will probably be toward the top of the sorted list.

The same applies to record hits and home runs in one game, and sorting those accomplishments appears to be correct. You can pick out the record-holder, if any, very easily on those lists.

Does anybody have a link to where I can download HOF and Record Files? For instance, one Record list would be all the No Hitters thrown from beginning of baseball until 2007, so when I start my initial 2008 season, I have MLB's actual history. I know they were available for OOTP4, which is the last version I had played.

Cool. Unfortunately, there's a slight problem. In three years in the fictional league I've been playing with, nobody's picked up as many as 15 strikeouts.

Retrosheet is a great resource: http://www.retrosheet.org/ For example, if you click "No-hitters & cycles" then "No Hitters," the list comes up chronologically by default. You can also list them alphabetically. BTW, thanks for leading me to that page; I looked at the list of cycles and have stopped fretting about the frequency of them occurring in my game. Apparently cycles are more common than I thought.

Well, that blows! Get some talented pitchers into that league! Until then, what do you care who owns the single game record? (J/k , the game does need improvement in this aspect of record-keeping.)
