Says too many players on Roster?

Ok I've made it to the playoffs and trying to go to the next day, but it says Too many players on my roster, It shows max of 40 and I only have 35 on it?

Help.

What is your normal active roster limit (before "sept" call ups) for the playoffs your roster needs to be back down to this level.
