One of OOTP's most creative and eclectic online leagues, the SGCBL has been active since 2003 (real time). We are currently in our 2014 season.

We have an unusual mix of male and female participants of all age groups and nationalities. The oldest member is in her 50's. The youngest is a teenager. There are team owners from Australia, Japan, France, the UK, the Netherlands and Canada and U.S. states including Hawaii, Michigan, Florida, New York, Nebraska, Ohio, and more.

You can approach any owner in our league to see if they would like a GM to run things for them, too. Currently, there are a few teams that operate this way.

Both! We encourage everyone to buy the game, because that's the best way to manage your team. However, we do have a couple of teams managed via the web pages and e-mail.

That leaves just Carrock without an owner and Dol Guldur and Weathertop without active GM's.

The Minas Tirith Titans owner is looking for a GM to run his team. He doesn't have time to run the daily operations, but he wants to continue to get the news and share in the forum chatter on occasion. We have a couple of hands-off owners like this, actually.

So, if you want to GM a team, the Titans are available.

We just finished an exciting 2015 season that saw a Red Sox-like comeback from a 3-0 hole in the Shire Conference championship. After 11 frustrating seasons, the Bree Cheese won it all!

We still have openings for team owners and GM's. Get in on 2016 now!

The owner/GM of the Ravenhill Darkwings has decided to take over Wilderland as a challenge. So, Wilderland is no longer available.

Ravenhill might be available, depending upon what the other owners in the league decide to do. More news on that next weekend.

The Ravenhill Darkwings are officially available.

While the other available teams (Carrock and Dol Guldur) will be good for a GM who likes a challenge, Ravenhill is one of the top teams in the Mordor Conference. In fact, they won the Wild Card last season and made it all the way to the Conference Finals.

We are just getting ready to start the 2016 season and are sitting just prior to players declaring Free Agency. Now is the best time to grab one of these teams and shape it to your liking.

We have several owners who do not possess a copy of the game, including some of the winningest franchises in the league. Owning the game is suggested, but not required.
