The answer would be purely subjective. Everyone has their own idea of what a good league is. What I think is the best the next person may think is only good.

Agreed. I don't think I'm the best league, but my league is converting to 2007 as we speak, and I'm proud of the fact that July 19 will make 7 years I've been running the same league.

The league enters its 15th season in 2007. Link is in the sig for any who want to check it out. There will be openings from those who unfortunately lost interest in OOTP.

So what constitutes "best"?

I would say that one MAJOR factor in "best" league is longevity.

Leagues like the eMLB and Baseball Maelstrom (two that I'm in) have been around for a long time. If a league stands the test of time then they have to be a great league.

Lightbulb MLIB - has been around since 1993

check us out at MLIB - http://www.mlib-online.net we have been around since 1993 not many leagues can boost those credentials.

Not to mention we currently have 4 owners that are still around since the league inception. Another 5 that have been around since 1996. Now that is dedicated ownership.

Vacancies are few and far between but they do happen.

we just moved to OOTP2007 and are on a new site.

Check us out and enjoy.

That and a great commish who doesn't miss sims. That consistency attracts/keeps good owners IMO.

Jeff, you also forgot to add in the raping of the horses, riding off on the women, and the pruning of hedges of many small villages.

Well, not to sing our own praises, but Dog Days Baseball begins season #19 this weekend, and we almost never miss a sim. The atmosphere is competitive but not cutthroat -- very little bickering over rules.

Not claiming we are the best, but with the switch to 2007 tomorrow, we lose at least a couple owners, and can have you a team instantly.

Fictonal league, using scouts and coaches... We use an outside-the-engine system as compensation for lost free agents, since the in-game system seems unfair to us.
