Manage Mickey Mantle in established alternate history league

The United League, a 12-team alternate history league using historical players, is seeking a GM to fill its Brooklyn Superbas vacancy.

The UL started in 2003, is entering its 15th season, and has a solid core of long-time, active owners. Good match for an experienced OOTPer looking for an established league with a twist.

The Brooklyn Superbas have won five straight titles and have several of the league's top players, including Mickey Mantle. But the club is aging and the dynasty can't go on forever. Or can it?

I could spend a paragraph telling you all how great the UL is, but IMO there is no online league in the OOTP world that matches it. The work Tim puts in is frankly astonishing. As an owner, putting in an end-of-season summary, the occasional article and generally keeping up with league events may take a little more time than the standard league, but it will be made up for in spades by the experience! Wait, that was a paragraph.

On the Superbas, a true dynasty. Hamner, Conley, Burdette and Mantle are four of the six or seven best in UL history. Yet for the first time in the last six years, there could actually be a *gasp* pennant race in the East, as the Cleveland Barons look like they could be starting a dynasty of there own. Will Brooklyn hang on for two-three more years of dominance with the old guard? Or will they cash in on their aging superstars?

Hmm. I got in touch with them. Current spot is filled I am on wait list. Might be worth a try to send again and see if it gets through. Seems like a nice league.

Sorry guys, the slot was filled a couple days ago and it was a very difficult decision because there were so many good GMs from which to choose. Thanks for all your replies. We are cranking up 1965 (our 15th season) this weekend!
