JOBL Opening(s)

The JOBL is a 20-team fictional league in its 5th year (real-time) of action. We're currently finishing up our 26th season (2027) and will be hitting the off-season soon.

We are also currently working out the details of our conversion to OOTP 2007 from 6.5, which could happen as early as this off-season. So, based on what we decide, we may have at most one more season in version 6.5.

Unrelated to conversion talk, we have one confirmed opening for next season. The New England Rhinos are taking applications for new ownership. The Rhinos are in the midst of rebuilding after a long stretch of success.

Highlighting the team are 16-year old stud prospect Frank Moore (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p288.html), 26-year old ace Gregory McGill (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p56.html), 27-year old Dan Cason (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p55.html), 1B Tommy Wenden (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p1226.html), 22-year old 1B Chad Parker (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p556.html), and LF Santiago Cestero (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p747.html). So, if you build a pitching staff around McGill, you should have a good shot at making the playoffs fairly quickly.

Also, there may be as many as 3 more teams available once we convert to OOTP 2007, based on our initial polling. So, even if you don't get New England, you have a good shot at a team in the near future.

New England has been filled.

AND I'm 99% positive we'll be converting to v2007 next off-season (before 2029), so if you are interested in that, please contact me and I'll put you on the list. At this point, we may have 2 or 3 openings.
