Opening in the JOBL
The JOBL is a 20-team fictional league in its 5th year (real-time) of action. We're just entered the pre-season (draft and free agency) of our 28th season (2029) and will be converting to OOTP2007 once we hit Spring Training.
We have one opening - the New England Rhinos - and are taking applications for new ownership. The Rhinos are in the midst of rebuilding after a long stretch of success. Highlighting the team are: Stud 2b/SS Sherwood Cabrales (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p1171.html), 27-year old ace Gregory McGill (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p56.html), current batting champ 1B Tommy Wenden (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p1226.html), 23-year old 1B Chad Parker (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p556.html) and CF Toy Helyar (http://www.jobl.net/FTP/p946.html). So, if you build a pitching staff around McGill, you should have a good shot at making the playoffs fairly quickly. Team page: http://www.jobl.net/FTP/team3.html The ideal owner will have OOTP6.X in order to participate in the pre-conversion off-season stuff and OOTP2007 once we kick off the new season (looking like mid-August will be the conversion)... League Stuff League Site: http://www.jobl.net/ Forum: http://www.jobl.net/SMF/ Catobase: http://www.jobl.net/history/index.html If interested in New England or a future opening, please PM or email me: jason.dettbarn [at] gmail.com Please include: your name, primary email address, AIM (if you have it), and any OOTP online experience (current leagues, etc). Thanks for your time! Hope to hear from you... Jason

For those of you on the fence about joining an established league, the JOBL is easily the most stable league I've been a part of. Jason's an outstanding commish and does his best to make the league fun. He's always looking for new ways to make the website better as well. There's an excellent group of core owners, and the league is certainly a challenge.
New England has a storied history and deserves a GM who's looking to add his mark to the folks who've made it franchise to be reckoned with.
