PBBPA Looking for managers

http://all-time-baseball.com/PBBA/main.html

The year is 1883 - Baseball expanded into two leagues in 1882, But after 1 season some of the teams moved and two more teams joined the AA. This brought the league total to 16 teams. These teams played in 2 divisions, The American Association and National Association.

This league will be a "loose" recreation of baseball from 1883 on. It will use the real teams of 1883 with fictional players.

This is the inagural season - No trades made, No teams yet dismantled. The season will consist of 120 games (including Interleague). The 2 division winners will meet in the Association Series (best of 9)

Rules:

Looking for 14 managers (OOTP 2007 is required)

Teams taken: Detroit, St. Louis

The concept looks intriguing and I know a few folks that are looking for a new league right now.

Question though: why is it that the commish' team (St. Louis) has the top four hitters, and eight of the top 12 hitters? That seems a little on the improbable side.

Believe it or not it I had nothing to do with it, It was a random Sepentine Draft and it turned out that way - I would be willing to trade some of those guys if need be - I do not want that to be an issue as I had just picked the browns and then let the random draft occur

In fact if it is so desired (once I get the league filled - I can either release all players and have a re-draft OR release and have a random re-draft by the CPU - makes no difference to me

I am looking for managers with the game as it becomes easier for me to run - But if someone is interested and can commit but does not have the game I would look into taking them as well

Quakers are taken - We still have lots of openings for "fictional Historic" managers
