WHBL Needs A Single GM
Our homepage is here: http://www.whbl.org
The html leaguesite page is here: http://www.whbl.org/reports/news/htm..._100_home.html The WHBL a fictional league that has been operational for over three real years (est. Summer of '04) and is now finished with its 11th season. We have a great core group of owners, most of which have been with us for quite some time, some of us have been playing together long before the WHBL was hatched, as we played in a High Heat league together. The league is "talent only", which in our opinion provides a much more accurate feel to a real life GM job, since your basing your opinions on their potential and their performance rather than having set ratings that tell you exactly how good the player is. We sim on a M-W-Sat schedule, at seven days per sim. We have a very lively forum and some fantastic storytellers in the Team Reports forum. The backstory of the league is below, and makes for an interesting jumpstart for anyone looking to get in: http://www.whbl.org/backstory.html The rules are below: http://www.whbl.org/rules.html After our first full season using OOTP2007, we're discussing a few rule clarifications/changes in the forums, so the rules may be slightly out of date. The currently open team is: Salt Lake City Speed http://www.whbl.org/reports/news/htm...s/team_15.html If interested, please post or PM here, or just head over to our forums, register, and express your intent to take the reigns in SLC. http://www.whbl.org/main/index.php |

Come join our great league!
SLC had the 3rd best offense (out of 14 teams) in the North American league, so with some work on the pitching side, they could make a real good run. Decent mix of vets and youth and stable finances give you the option of building up or tearing down as you choose. |

Yeah, if you're looking for something that you can hang onto for awhile, you should be pretty happy with us.
Our turnover is pretty slim, and we really do have some amazing GMs, many of which have been with us for quite some time. It's a lot of fun. |
