Beta Baseball looking for 3 for its 20th season!
With free agency starting Sunday, Beta Baseball is looking for 3 owners in order to start 2025 - its 20th season! We are a well established 12-team fictional league playing with potential ratings only, and we're looking for three more members. We are fast-paced and use either 4 or more rarely 5-man rotations. We have a team for everyone, whether you want a horrible team with a strong core of prospects, an established powerhouse or a team heading absolutely nowhere, you'll find it! Here is a brief description of each team:
George Falls Barons: The once great franchise is now a bit lost on its way. It's not highly successful (having finished 5th of 6 teams and 29 GB last year), and doesn't have much youth. Moreover, the team lost its best hitter, Blue Blue Lean, to free agency. They desperately need help, because all-star pitcher Jean Tuel can't do all the work himself. If you want a challenge, a real one, this is for you. With no strong minor league system and almost no existing talent, life is hard in George Falls. Can you make it better? Lennongrad Coléoptères: Beatles fans, this is your chance! Lennongrad is actually not that great - it was once a shining star in the AL, but is now terribly crippled. Since their title win in 2019, they've slowly disintegrated, and the final nail came last year with the loss of arguably the best pitcher in history, Ian Worang. The once mighty franchise faces dwindling attendance, shrinking revenue, and increasingly bad performance - they finished last season with 46 wins, which put them 73 games back of the division winner. Please help this team turn itself around. These guys have a very solid farm system, let's hope you can use it to make the team thrive. Skojpp Bombers: They finished 2nd in their division last year, marking the first time in 4 years they didn't finish first. They are still a very high quality team that, with your help, could very well take the division again. They have a very solid core of established all-stars that you can rely on. These guys play in a home run prone park, and sluggers are abundant. Their main problem is payroll control - they lose money at a very fast pace. You can inquire via PM, and I invite you to check our extremely basic website at www.betabaseball.com . Free agency starts soon - hurry up!
