Currently we have an opening in: Riva

Riva is a solid team that has been well run. Its owner has had the team since the league began. He only stepped down because of RL time constraints. The Riva Rage finished with a .481 winning percentage. The team has some players to build around. 2B Ernie Zeman, SS John Lisk, 1B Benny Homes and top prospect 3B Robert Dowling form a good infield.

The Laseron Baseball Assoiciation is fictional league setup in a fictional world. (See map of Laseron)

- The league has been in existence since June, 2002.
- We will be beginning our 27th season.
- We are using v2007. (version 2.0.2.68)
- We sim one week on Mondays and Wednesdays. And we sim two weeks on Saturday.
- The division winners and two wild cards make the playoffs in each league.
- There is an $85 million salary cap and a $15 million team cash maximum.

Statistically, the league mimics the majors late sixties, early seventies. We've just changed to a 162 game schedule. Dominant pitchers can have ERAs below 2.00. But there is a fair amount of offense. We've had one player go 50-50. We've had another player bat .400, while three other players have come close. Still, we regularly have players hit .300 with 20+ HRs and 110+ RBI and win our Rick Blast Award.

We are beginning our off season. The league offers several ways to build or rebuild a team. In addition to the normal free agency and amateur draft; there is an Independent League that will occasionally add good free agents to the pool. There is also a college league that will add young free agents.

I just spent 30 minutes reliving the glory days of Firun City and looking through the database and forum. This was a tremendously fun league with a great group of owners. I'm happy to see that many of those owners are still playing.

Updated the first page. We were able to find an owner for Baltica. However, our owner for Riva has stepped down. We're still in the offseason, so its a good time to get in.
