Looking to get back into OOTP!

Guys,

I've been in many OOTP leagues over the years but in the last few months folded the league I ran, and also had my other league folded by the Commishes.

The main league I was in was the Field of Dreams (FOD)... it ran for 6 years and I won the last 2 World Series titles before the league folded.

I have a few requirements for the league I want to join
  1. Preferably a fictional league rather than historical (I like having deep minor league systems)
  2. Long running league with very little year to year turnover.
  3. This will be my only league so I really want some interesting features to keep me busy with (a podcast would be awesome)
  4. Some kind of salary cap or other policy in order to level the playing field somewhat. (I dont want a league where some teams budget is 150 million while others is 50)
  5. 2-3 Sims per week. I'm not into leagues that run 4-5 sims, things just move too quickly before I have the chance to analyze anything.
  6. Lots of activity on the forum and/or AIM. Live sim's would be a major plus.
  7. An aesthetically pleasing website that is easy to navigate
  8. Owners that write articles consistently
I plan on this being my only league and I plan on being in it for a long time so an interesting and stable league (Commish and Owners) is a definite must. I'll take any kind of team whether they are an aging team, a young team, good, bad, it doesn't matter. I'll be around long enough to turn the team around no matter how bad they are.

Please send me an e-mail at robert.fuhrman@email.stvincent.edu or IM me at OfficerTimFisher. Do not send me PM's on here or respond to this, I rarely check it.

You sound like exactly the person we're looking for here.

Except I will need to know what happened to you in the MBBA.

JUST ended 2011 season. We have two openings, in Detroit & Chicago (AL). Check us out. Its a very active league. There are point bonuses to keep GMs active & improve your players.

We do require you own the game, we sim monday-friday. In 4 seasons I have not missed a sim. We are a very active league looking for a few more good owners to add to our core of solid owners.

Check us out, you will be glad you did.

Tell John1974 that the TwinsGM sent you.

HBL halfway through our 25th season (we started in June of 2001 real-time with OOTP2). We're one of the oldest, if not the oldest, leagues out there.

San Francisco Giants are open. Decent minor league squad and not a bad major league squad. Just mismanaged.

After much consideration I think I'm going to go with the World Baseball Hierarchy. Fit what I wanted in a league the most.
