I already had, possibly, too many teams...but joined this league anyway because of the great group of owners signed up so far.
We have a few Commishs from other leagues, and the forum will be active with baseball talk, trades, etc. The members aren't just good ootp players, they're good guys also. This league should be fun, and a bit different, with the unusual way we're building the rosters. For instance, I have the Texas Rangers (1990). I get to 'protect' Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmiero, and Kevin Brown...then draft 7 players from all the 'unprotected' players in the league, before the AI drafts the remainder of the team. This means that any team could be good...even if you don't have three great 'keepers' to start off with. A lot of owners are protecting older veteran players, so some keepers won't be around (or real good) for years and years. The financials are pretty equal across the league, so no one starts off with a huge advantage over anyone else. |

Some detail
Teams Open: (Remember besides the protected the teams will be drafted)
Houston Astros (35-72 as of 7/31/90), need a rebuild, stuff to build around though with a young Biggio, young Tino Martinez, should have #1 pick in loaded 1990 draft locked up. Baltimore Orioles (42-64), Eddie Murray, Ripken, Fryman, young Dave Martinez, as well as very young Schilling and Ben McDonald. This team can also be built around, heading for the #2-#3 pick. Milwaukee Brewers (43-64), 26yo Cecil, 21yo Sheff, 25 yo Greg Vaughn are three great bats to work around.

We have quite a few teams open for the RTNB as some of the original owners never exported once. We will be starting out first amateur draft and our first off-season.
Check out our web page or IM me or PM me here for list of available teams |
