FBBL Retro Entering 1990 -- Need one!
Gents,
We just wrapped up our second season with the Chicago Cubs beating the Boston Redsox in a 6 game series. We will begin the off-season this weekend so now is the perfect time to join. Right before free agency and durng the busiest trading period in our league. So, you have ample opportunity to retool your roster and add/subtract pieces before the new season. We sim three times a week and have a three man commissioner panel. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday are our sim times. Any other questions or if you'd like to join, please e-mail us at FBBLLO@YAHOO.COM -- DO NOT PM ME ON HERE OR SIMPLY POST IN THIS THREAD, I DO NOT COME HERE THAT OFTEN! -- one of us will square you away once you send us a proper application to fbbllo@yahoo.com. Here are the details on the Whitesox. [hr] TEAM: Chicago Whitesox HOMEPAGE 1989 RECORD: 56-106 1988 RECORD: 70-92 FARM: Ranked 11th with players such as Todd Hundley and Kenny Rogers in the mix. FINANCIALS: Excellent! ROSTER: Pretty barren. Outside of Harold Baines, Melido Perez and a handful of solid relievers and role players the roster doesn't have much talent present. I guess that goes without saying with a team has averaged 63 wins a season over the last two years. STORY: Ok, every league seems to have that one team that is a revolving door and the Whitesox seems to be our's. We have extremely low turnover in our league but the Whitesox have been open _three_ times in two seasons. As a matter of fact, we've had two openings in our league in the past 2 months and both were the Whitesox. So, I'm not going to sugar coat it. They're a tough rebuilding job. Their farm system is adequate but it should get even better this off-season as they have the #1 pick in the draft. A draft loaded with talent, too. Their financials are solid and they have the money available to make roster moves. The problem is they are a lot of talent away from playoff contention and you need to know that coming in. They're a three-year job if there ever was one. Compounding the problem is they are in the same division as the most dominant team in the league, the Oakland Athletics. So it's a steep mountain to climb. We're looking for someone to fill this vacancy that has a proven history within OOTP leagues. We'd like to know your experience with OOTP and what leagues you have been in. We'd like to get the right guy into place here and a guy that will stick it out. A GM that enjoys rebuilding teams is pretty much a must at this point. The previous GM's have bailed because they didn't enjoy instant success and I don't want anymore of that. You know they're a rebuilding job coming in so if you're not OK with that, don't apply. [hr] If interested please send this application to fbbllo@yahoo.com and one of us will get in touch with you soon. NAME: AGE: E-MAIL: AIM/YAHOO IM: OOTP EXPERIENCE: HOW MANY LEAGUES DO YOU PARTICIPATE IN CURRENTLY: DO YOU ENJOY REBUILDING TEAMS: ARE YOU CURRENTLY REBUILDING ANY TEAMS WE CAN VIEW?: Here is a link to our forums: FBBL Forums - Home Here is a link to the webpage: SION Home Page
