"Error reading setup intialization file"
Your setup program may have become corrupted during the download process. Please try to download the setup program again, and retry.

After installing 1st patch, scoreboard is blank!
1. Close OOTPB
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\skins\ootp blue 2007, or whichever folder holds the skin you are using.
3. Delete skin.bin
4. Restart OOTPB

"OOTPB Won't Start at All, or Error when starting game: "The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000005). Click on ok to terminate application."
1. In your Control Panel, open the System control panel applet.
2. Click the Advanced tab
3. Under Performance, click Settings.
4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
5. Change the Data Execution Prevention ("DEP") setting to "turn on DEP for essential sevices only"
6. OK out of the control panel.
7. If you are using Vista, right-click on the OOTPB 2007 icon and select "Run as Administrator."
8. Try again!

Game freezes when I change skins
Skins take up to several minutes to load, especially on older machines or machines with low RAM. We've seen skins take anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes to load. During this time, it may look like the game is "frozen," but it isn't really. Just be patient. The wait only occurs when you change skins; it won't happen the next time you load the game with the currently selected skin.

Error message TEMPLATES_ENGINE::LOAD TEMPLATE FILE - cannot open template file
This happens when you start the game, after you've changed the user data path in the preferences? Have a look at this: problem : TEMPLATES_ENGINE::LOAD TEMPLATE FILE

Game starts loading, displays the startup screen, but then crashes to desktop
Your graphic card doesn't support one or more of the OpenGL functions. Please update the graphic card driver software. Have a look at our FAQ, there's a lot of information about this issue. If nothing helps, disable Facegen to start OOTP. We're working on a solution for this problem.

FaceGen does not get initialized
Your graphic card doesn't support one or more of the OpenGL functions. Please update the graphic card driver software.

My 2006 Imported League (based on a roster set) has scores like 60-40!

My 2006 Imported League (based on a roster set) crashes
Some of the roster sets from 2006 are corrupted and don't work right.

Do this to fix this issue:

1. Go to Game > Game Setup
2. Click on the League Setup tab, then Strategy tab
3. Enter 16000 as the league total for walks

This should fix the issue.

Game slows down severely or crashes when left running overnight
If you leave the game open and running overnight and have Norton Anti-Virus set to automatically update definitions or do a disk scan, the game can slow down severely or crash.

It was posted as a TT and Markus says it won't be possible to patch this year, apparently because the problem is with NAV and not OOTP.

If you encounter this problem, simply close and restart your game. Everything should go back to normal.
