Pitcher starting multiple games

Not sure if this has been answered but I couldnt find anything on it so wanted to ask. I had a pitcher start 3 games straight. This was the second time in the league that it has happened. With the guy I had it happen to the only spot he was listed was as a spot starter. He pitched 115, 76, and 133 pitches in the three games. Won the first and third game so I am not complaining but this could be costly in a tight situation. Some key things to note:

It was an online league
we sim 7 sim days every other day
guy was listed as only a spot starter
I use 8.0.0.13

Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated

What was his spot start percentage set to? Is he set as a MR or a SP? How many innings did he last in each start? How many H, BB, and HR did he give up in each start?

Spot Starter % was 20
He wasnt listed as a MR or SP.. solely a spot starter
Game 1 8.2IP, 8 Hits, 2ER, 5 BB, 0HR
Game 2 3.2IP, 5 Hits, 8ER, 4 BB, 0HR
Game 3 6.2IP, 11 Hits, 4ER, 4BB, 0HR

I use a 5 man rotation and plenty of relievers
We were in September so plenty to go around

When you go into the pitcher's Player Profile is he listed as a SP, MR, or CL? He has to be one of the three. I'm not referring to his position in the pitching depth charts.

Rodriguez pitched for you on both the 23rd and 25th, another problem.

One of them was because Cloude was injured (day to day). The game looks to not pitch a pitcher that's day to day, not sure if that's only if there's a spot starter or if that's always though.

I can get the game to do this, sorta, but only if I have 3 injured pitchers or if there's nobody (empty slots) in the pitching rotation.

Might you have had empty slots for those sims? Wouldn't think so but...

The guy is certainly an innings eater... he pitched 2 complete games (basically) for you in back to back series.

Nah, don't see where anyone but Cloude was injured at all. But it's two pitchers taking 8 out of 9 starts there. I can't see any reason for it from what I know of spot starters.

Is your rotation set for 4 or 5 starters? I had this happen once but mistakenly had a 1 man starting staff.
