Jan 31 crash

Hi all. I've looked through as many pages as I could and didn't see an answer to this problem. I have ootp 7 completely up to date on patches. Playing on vista. I have cubbyfan's rosters installed. Everytime I get to Jan 31, OOTP crashes. I've changed little things like a few player's ratings, my name as the human manager, turned full scouting on and full coaching off. Cant think of any other changes right now, I think that's all of them. Any ideas?

Matt

What happens if you try running a fictional league as a test? Can you sim without trouble?

Could you list your processor speed, RAM, and available hard drive space? Thanks.

If I run a fictional league it will sim without a problem.. I've re-installed cubbyfan's rosters a few times. Imported the world.dat a few times also. I've been clicking the import OOTP2006 game from the main screen and selecting the world.dat in cubbyfan 2008 rosters.lg

Specs
core2due 1.73
2 gb ram
120gb HD. 3 partitions 20, 25, and 67. Installed to the one thats 25gb. has 23 gb free.

Which version of CubbyFan's rosters are you using? Isn't there one that was made for OOTP 2007/8? Maybe I'm mistaken.

What exactly are you doing with the world.dat file and why? I'm a bit confused.

I'm using the rosters released on 2/2/08 or thereabouts. I got the link off of his posts.

I thought I imported the rosters that way. On the opening screen I:
1. click "Import OOTP 2006 Game"
2. navigate to D:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/OOTP Baseball 2007/Data/CubbyFan 2008 Rosters.lg and click on world.dat and click on confirm
3. I enter a game name and click import now
4. It copies everything and loads the database
5. Then I can go in and edit my manager, players etc. etc.

Okay a little update. I placed CubbyFan's rosters in the saved games folder in my documents. When I got to Jan 31 it errored and shut down again.

Okay, it sounds like there is an issue with that roster set. Are there any league events set to occur on 1/31 in-game for any of the leagues included?

Have you spoken to the creator of the roster set about this one?

I just copied my league and turned the scouting off and it doesn't error anymore. I set two of my scouts to scout the other teams around the league during the offseason but neither of them had a report due on that day. I'm not really sure why the scouts would make the game error like this. It's whenever scouts are on. If Coaches & scouts are on, it errors, only scouts, it errors, only coaches or neither on, it's fine. I've simmed through the first month of the season (mind you I have this problem at Jan 31) with scouts off and it hasn't errored yet. Any clue as to why the scouting system would be doing this?

No, not other than a corrupted or overly large set of league files. This is one of those roster sets with a preposterous number of leagues included? You could try taking a copy, deleting some of the extra leagues, and trying again with scouting on.
