odd box score bug?

This is odd. My system was running a bit slow on one laptop, but fine on another. The slow one was well advanced in OOTP years, so I went back and deleted about 14 years of almanacs. Unfortunately, this did not speed the game up. But, this is what I've noticed now...

When I click on a box score, I get a similar box score from many years previous. It is like this for all teams. When I click on a 2027 box, I'm getting boxes from about 11-13 years prior, involving the same teams on the same dates.

Ideas?

Oh, and what is slowing things up, is FREE AGENCY. On this laptop, when I click SIGN A FREE AGENT, i get the red progress bar and it takes about 15 seconds to get to the screen. On the other laptop (which is an older machine, but several OOTP years behind), it instantly goes to the screen without any progress bar.

More ideas?

Think I figured it out. In an effort to speed up the game, I turned off AUTO SAVE on all box scores.

The game recycles game numbers.
