"OOTPB Won't Start at All, or Error when starting game: "The application failed to initialize..."
"OOTPB Won't Start at All, or Error when starting game: "The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000005). Click on ok to terminate application."
1. In your Control Panel, open the System control panel applet. 2. Click the Advanced tab 3. Under Performance, click Settings. 4. Click the Data Execution Prevention tab. 5. Change the Data Execution Prevention ("DEP") setting to "turn on DEP for essential sevices only" 6. OK out of the control panel. 7. If you are using Vista, right-click on the OOTP icon and select "Run as Administrator." 8. Try again!
