Front Office Screen

I like the look of this screen, and love the detail involved here, but i did have a question.

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/cms/...creens/s21.jpg

I can't figure out where the "PROJ FINAL BALANCE" number is coming from based on all the other revenue/expense figures shown. Anybody know how all the different balances/budgets are calculated?

Thanks

The reason Markus is still in the green is because he's in the middle of the season. He's spent only $33 mil of the $84 mil for players and $755k of the $1.8 mil staff.

And that's the only reason he's still in the green, becasue he's awful at actually playing OOTP.

I don't get it either.

Markus has played 63 games of what I assume is a 162-game season - roughly 40%. That means he's accumulated 40% of gate and merch revenue, and he's paid 40% of his players' salary. If we extrapolate, OOTP projects that gate revenue will be around 43mil, merch revenue around 24mil and his player expenses will be around 85mil. With these figures, Markus should make a profit this year (proj. budget room). So, I fail to see how, by making a profit of 10mil and staring with 2mil cash, he'll have a negative balance.

The only plausible thing I can think of that makes more or less sense is that 25mil disappear every year (luxury tax? I'm missing something here) for some reason. Last year he made 27mil and started the year at 2mil - this year he's set to be at 10mil but his projected balance is -15mil. Maybe the screenshot was put in context, but anyway, that's my best guess.

Yes, thats another thing, how did he go from 27M to a 2M starting balance? Must be a luxury tax or other revenue sharing. If thats the case it would be good to see it on the screen. Oh well, i'm sure its explained in the manual

Is this an older screenshot? Things on the finance screen have changed somewhat in the last week of beta testing...for the better.

There was never a definitive answer given for this and I'm seeing the same thing in my game. Why is my starting balance only $2,000,000 and why is the projected final balance so negative? All indications are that this will be a very profitable year!

It's because you haven't played out the season. Your team hasn't sold much merchandise or many tickets yet. It does change in time, and by the looks of it, you've got five more months of collecting revenue.

Hmmm... how many home games have you played so far?
I'll try to figure this out, but it's not making sense yet. Maybe that can help.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Just spent some time in my test league, and can't figure it out. There has to be something wrong there... BZ# 1528.

At least the 2 million cash thing makes sense, I have a tentative hold on things still.

When I took that screen capture, I had played about 27 or 28 total games of the season. I can check when I get home tonight how many of them were home games.

Actually, I had played 26 games up to that point, 12 of them at home.
