Try using a different unzipping program, like 7 Zip.

It's a very small change. I'm just pushing forward using it, and once RonCo completes his testing, I'll make some minor changes.

I just downloaded it and unzipped it and it loaded fine for me.

Sorry. Maybe try re-downloading it?

It's cool. I've tried downloading it several times but it extracts for like 2-3 minutes and then an error message pops up. Too many files I guess.

I'll stick with the ML quickstart.

If you don't have enough space on you harddrive or the drive you are using then it won't unzip because it takes a certain amount of space to unzip the files, usually more than the size of the zipped file. How much space do you have? Or you may have a problem with the drive needing to be defragged. This can cause this problem as well.
I have always used Winrar for all the zipped files, and have never had a problem using it. But then, I have plenty of harddrive space on my computer and I defrag at least once a week.
Try defragging and look to see if you have enough space to unzip that file. That's about the only advice I can give you. There is nothing wrong with the file itself, as I downloaded it recently with no problems.
Good luck with it. Hope you get it to work.

3.63 GB, lol.

I'll try defragging, I haven't done that in probably 2-3 years. Thanks.

I have a question. I just did an expansion draft with Columbus and Pittsburgh. How do I go about filling the minor league levels? Or should I just sign a bunch of FAs to minor league contracts?

Oh my. I am surprised that your computer even runs right at all. That is enough hard drive space I believe but once you defrag you will probably gain some more. Anyway, you are welcome and I hope that it solves your problem. If not, post again and I will see if I can figure something out so you can get that file onto your machine.

The old man can still teach us something!
Even about the computers.

The old man...well that certainly is true, I suppose! And although I never took any formal training in computers, I am an IT tech who fixes a lot of computers in my spare time. I learned the hard way how to do that just as I have learned everything else in life. Hands on training is the best way to learn anything. Keep redoing it until you get it right...even with computers.
And thanks myasu for making me feel even older now. Geez.

I am sorry Greatgrampa, if you felt insulted...
In my country, as you know, people respect seniors.
At least, I respect the wisdom, experience of the seniors.

Whichever you prefer should be fine. Or just turn on ghost players.

You didn't offend me at all. Was just teasing you a little bit. Yes, I know that your country treats its elderly much better than this one does. That's one of the reasons I like your country!
Anyway, not offended at all.

I just thought I'd point this out. I downloaded the quickstart from the link provided yesterday afternoon and got through the first week or so of the season. Only then did I take a look at the schedules for my minor leagues, only to find that the All-Star game for short season A ball and the rookie leagues are both scheduled in May, before their season even starts.

I mention this a lot, but Auslogic's Disk Defrag does a great job and is absolutely free.

It's right there at that link, where it says "Download Page." Look above the Vista emblem.
