If you download from OOTP now, you will get 9.1.2. We're in the process of getting the mirrors up now, so I didn't want to broadcast it yet.

The fake players at the rookie level were a design choice by Markus to resolve the greater issue of AI performance in the MLB file. Without the fake players, the AI didn't have enough people in the league to play with, and as a result many of the AAA teams would have like 3 players in them, which was unacceptable compared to the risk of having scrubby fake players filling the unused roster slots.

It's not a perfect solution, but we'll continue to work at it....

Completely understand on the fake players. Not a big issue as they're in there after my first season anyways - actually once the draft comes up.

The executable only download from the OOTP link has the same time stamp as the old one that had the crashing issues, and I still got the crashing. I'll try a download of the full install.

I'm a little confused. I only want the PC exe. patch and don't care about major league roster updates. Yet when I follow the first step:

Go to your OOTP program directory. By default it is C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9

there is no ootp.exe file in that folder, as in set #2:

2. Rename the file "ootp9.exe" to "ootp9.exe.old".

Can I just download the patch, unzip, and execute or is that #2 for real?

There should be a ootp9.exe file in that folder. If not, please use the windows search function to locate the file, and then replace it with the ootp9.exe from the .zip file.

I would suggest doing a complete reinstall, that way you'll have the latest text files and roster files...

If I buy the version being offered til 20th with $10.00 off, I think I see referred to as the patch. Will that be the whole thing with all the patches.

And one last, I'm seing fixes all over the board, should we want a couple days?

Any time you download the full version, you will get all of the patches!
