Questions about GamboDB

I love how the draft brings in players when they started professionally, but I find that a lot of players make their ML debuts very young, at the ages of 16 or 17 sometimes (Pedro Martinez comes to mind) and only spending the year from the June draft until September in the minors or AAA.

Is there any way to deter this from happening and have them in the minors a little longer?

Also, I don't know what import settings to use with the DB (Limit ABs/IPs, etc..).

Thanks

one thing ive done is set the MLB minimum age to 18. it helps a little at least. otherwise i havent found a good method for keeping them in the minors. what ive done is knock their current ratings down manually (keeping the potential intact) so at least for the current year theyre not playing over their heads so to speak. a better way, albeit more time consuming, would be to actually edit the DB yourself before you import the league and decrease their batting and pitching stats for the first year or two. i havent tried this method; i suspect it would be a lot of trial and error to get that right.

The issue is that if you have the players import to their correct teams for some reason the game creates the players a little bit better than they should be. If you were to do a draft in November the game then does a recalc the following season and tends to adjust the players much better before they ever play a game.

The way it is now sometimes a player will debut their first season as a 17 year old and then wont be seen in the majors for another 2-3 years.

I hope the OOTP9's new creation modifiers help ease this from occuring.
