Ballpark Edits

In playing a historical game using recalc, I want to change some ballparks to newer parks. When I edit the new factors, they get reset to the actual factors each year. Is there a way to avoid having to edit these every year?

I believe that's covered by the automatic expansion box. Maybe if you turn that off?

I have tried with expansion turned off and the problem still exists. If the team existed and the park was being used, the game resets to the actual.

You can edit the era_ballparks file to your liking. This is what the game references to update the park factors each year. I created the file myself specifically for OOTP using retrosheet data.

Great!!! This is exactly what I am looking for.

Is there a similar file for referencing team ID's for historical rookie importing when you do not want a draft?

Thanks for the help.

Or just save a copy of your parks file and recopy it into the league each spring.
