Fictional Players Showing Up

I am currently playing a Historical Lg which I started in 1976. I am playing with ghost players on but still have no name players who are not real showing up. Now one thing I have noticed they all seem to be Orientals from China and Japan. Has anyone else noticed these guys showing up as your league go on.Thanks

Surely I can't be the only ones who is playing with ghost players on, who has fictional players showing up. Who by the way are usually higher rated players from china, japan etc. Someone else must be seeing this.

Did you set the game to not allow fictional players to reach the majors?

Do you have Scouts turned on? If so, you probably also have Create & Maintain Hidden Players turned on. That feature can only be changed at the beginning of your league, IIRC.

Actually you can enable/disable this feature at anytime.

Ah. I was in OOTP'07 and it was grayed out for me, so I just went with that.

I using ootp9 and under ghost players it is grayed out, I can not check it either. I unchecked ghost players to see if it would allow checking, but it doesn't.

Not ghost players. That's using non-existent Joe Unknowns in the minors. You want Create & Maintain Hidden Players, which I think is under Global Setup.

I forgot to mention I have unchecked that also, but wasn't able to uncheck the grayed out fictional players..So i'm restarting the league with create and maintain off. This makes some sense because these guys were mainly Asian and there was no draft history for them. So i scrapped that league and will see how it goes..Thanks

You can only do this during the pre season.

Well Bruce I will have to wait then, though I just started a new 1970 Historical and it is greyed out under the Ghost player option.

Okay this is what I found out, if I uncheck allow ghost players the block fictional players ungreys. Once I click block fictional then allow ghost players the block fictional goes grey again....So I clicked block Fictional then I clicked Allow ghost players so even though its greyed out again we will see if it blocks unknowns....To BruceM and Relic thanks again I will keep you posted. This is a complete new league so I will notice pretty quick.
