You most certainly DID leap to conclusions because you took those posts and ASSUMED that the "hidden ratings" were going to be the END of historical simming and were all set to walk away from the game as a result.

Aside from threat being ridiculously overdramatic, your ASSUMPTION of the allegedly dire effects of these "hidden ratings" was WRONG.

About four versions ago, Markus suddenly decided to remove all printing capability from the game. I said the same thing I did over the hidden ratings: if this stays the way it is now, I'm gone. Printing stayed in. Not because I was important, but because my ringing of the alarm bell loudly led to a review of the situation that resulted in the realization that printing was a valuable thing to have in the game.

Pretty much the same thing happened with the hidden ratings. It's a crappy job ringing the alarm bell sometimes, but somebody has to do it.
