jersey textures
hey everyone!
I'm new to the game and loving it so far. I'm playing the trial version at the moment and I'm trying to set up a full logo/cap and jersey set for the MLB quickstart included with the game and have been having some problems. 1. I've managed to download the logos, cap logos and jersey logos for all MLB teams and most minor league teams. I've put them in the relevant folders (Data/logos, Data/ballcaps, data/jerseys) following the instructions on Padrefans website. I had to amend a few of the file names too so they would match the team names properly. When i load up a new MLB game from the front screen it doesn't seem to load all the logos properly. MLB and triple A teams don't have any logos at all, but all the other minor league teams do! If I go to the game setup screen i can reset all the logos and the logos suddenly appear! Is there anyway of making them appear without reseting them? 2. Facegen pictures seems to be off by default in the MLB quickstart, i can turn them on in the game set up screen no probs, but can you have it come on by default? 3. I can't seem to get the game to load jersey textures automatically. I've downloaded some jersey textures and put them in the right folders. The only way I can get the textures into the game is to go to each teams uniform editor and find the file manually. Once the jersey is loaded, it only changes the facegen picture in the uniform screen and not the jersey template next to it. Is there anyway to get the game to load the textures automatically? If anyone has any suggestions for the above, that would be great. Lovin the game so far, and love the customization options! Update: 1. So now i've solved the first problem. I first put the team logos into the images file of the majors.quick quickstart, because they wouldn't load at all when putting them into the logos folder. the MLB and AAA images i had all had color codes after them to determine team colors. I deleted those and now these images automatically load when first creating a MLB quick start. shame that some of the team colors are a bit off, but its not that much of a bother. Where does ootp get these team colors from, if its not specified on the logo file? They can't be random because they are the same colors on every start up of the quick start. 3. I've kinda solved the third problem. I just copy all my jersey textures into the saved game jerseys folder and they are there automatically in the game from then on. I thought ootp was supposed to check the data/jerseys file if there is no files in the saved game folder? Update 2: Ok i've solved my own problems! I've now got a new Majors.quick quick start file which has all the correct cap/jerseys and logos for MLB and all the minors apart from the rookie leagues that I can load from the Majors quick start button on the main menu. No having to fiddle with anything once loading the file, it just works straight away... yay! The facegen is switched on too! Finally I can actually enjoy playing the game!
