Stadium File for OOTP9 -- 683 Real Ballparks

Hey guys. What I did is transferred my parks.dat file with all 683 ballparks from my stadium set to OOTP9. This way instead of having to do all the work of importing stadiums for specific teams all the stadiums are already placed in one file that is ready to use. (Well mostly)

Instructions:
Create your league. Unzip this file into it's directory. Fix stadiums to your liking. There you go!

What is included:
All 683 ballparks with dimensions, ballpark factors, capacity and either turf/grass or dome/open. Also, the day and night images are already set up.

What you need to do:
When you use this in one of your leagues there is still some stuff you will have to do.

1. Go into each team and assign the correct park.
2. Go into the edit ballpark tab and assign the proper location (therefore weather) to that park.
3. You will probably want to reassign fielder locations for each park.
4. If you want proper ball animations you will have to adjust the locations.

The Good News:
Oddly enough the naming system used for my pictures and those for the 2008 set released are different so the pictures will not override. If you are using the 2008 rosters and the parks.dat from that with the included pictures, there will be no conflicts and all the pictures can be in you ballpark directory together without problems.

The Bad News:
When I got all my pictures together I was not taking into account that Markus would do ball animations. I do plan on going into many of the pictures though and adjusting size to that function can be updated

As I go along in time I will update do updates for this file and just attach it to a post. I may release some resized pictures for my ballparks to go along with the animations but I will not be spending alot of time on it.

Thanks for posting this! I am having a problem getting the ballpark photos to show up. I unzipped the file into my new league and the photos do not show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So this is the dat file only right? The actual 683 ball park photos are not part of this right? Does anyone know a good mod or source where we can get the photos that go with the dat? I understand we still have to set the ball park for each team manually. I thought Markus had mentioned as a feature the game would automatically load and change the ballparks for historical leagues when changes occurred in real life? So why is this dat needed if that is so?

The game does automatically change the ballpark name and park factors for historical teams in an historical game. It doesn't change the park picture, though.

Thanks, Gambo.

A related question ...

Is there () or is there not () a way to set your "ball locations" one time only, save this in some file, and then every time you use that park in a new league, ya don't have to re-do all those ball locations again? Tis' a lot of work.

Just wonderin'.
